A Little Piece of My Mind

To be the happiest person you know.

To be the girl who is content with alone.

To be brave.

To be relentless.

To be open.

To be friendly.

To be complete.

Those are some of the things I want to be this new year. While there is a long list of other things, I am realizing that just because I say it today, doesn’t mean it’ll come tomorrow—or even any other day. 

So, this year, I want to be passionate about the things that I want. I don’t want to sit back anymore and “wait and see.” 

I’m ready.

And guess what else?! I have FEELINGS too.

Today has been great. First, it’s probably the first day in who knows how long that I chose to only listen to Christian music. Big deal for me, and lemme tell ya, it put me in a great mood. 

Second, God was just totally with me tonight. You see, usually when I go running, I listen to either rock/maybe screamo music or very secular, “radio” music. This is because I felt like it helped me clear my head of the day and blow off steam. Boy, I was wrong.

I hate running, but all of a sudden I had a vision like I was running to God, and I completely took off. I couldn’t stop smiling. 

All this to say,

We were made to worship, and I can tell you from experience that there is nothing out there that will make you feel any better about any situation than worshiping God with all of your strength. 

The song in the video is the song I listened to on repeat.
